What is yellO?

YellO is an online map based social network, which provides a platform to reach Pakistanis and promote positive change through open and free information, which helps activate positive social change. It connects people of our community to find new and interesting places around them and help them improve their lives and the lives of those around them through social commentary.

How do I report a bug?

If you find any error on the website, you can report it using the Submit Bug which appears at the end of the page. This link will take you to the page where you can create a ticket and we’ll fix it ASAP.

How can I give my suggestions and feedback to yellO?

At the bottom of the yellO.pk page, you will find Contact. Click on it to send us your suggestions and feedback.

What are Yupees? What do I do with them?

Yupees are yellO points. You can redeem Yupees for books, mobile credit, dinner for two at participating restaurants, petrol credit and much more. Plus you can get free entrance to any of the exclusive yellO events happening around town. Find out how you have earned those Yupees so far through the Yupees tab on my yellO.

How can I edit my yellO profile?

To edit your profile or to change your account preferences, log in and click on the "My Account" link that appears at the top of any page. You will be able to edit your account preferences here.

How do I invite friends manually?

After signing in, click on "myYello" and then the "Friends" tab. On the Friends page you will find an "Invite more friends" button. Click that and follow the instructions.

How can I find friends already using yellO?

After signing in, click on "myYello" and then the "Friends" tab. On the Friends page you will see a list of your friends. Through the "Invite more friends" button you can find friends that are already using yellO.

How can I make friends on yellO?

You can make more friends on yellO by clicking on the desired person's profile. There you will find an "Add to buddylist" button.

Can I remove a friend?

To remove a person from your buddy's list, visit that person's profile and remove from your friends.

How can I put my current Location on the map?

On "myYello", the "Status" tab lets you update what you are doing and where you are right now.

Do I have to be a friend to follow someone?

No, you do not have to be a friend to become a follower. The blogs let you follow people whose writing or ideas you like.

Can I edit a business once I add it?

On "myYello" the "Activity" tab shows reviews you have written. Find the dropdown to select "Business Listings" from the list which will show you the businesses you have added. You can select the business you would like to edit from here.

What should I review?

Any business, service or place with a physical address is fair game for being reviewed on yellO. Restaurants, shops, salons, spas, dentists, mechanics, parks, museums etc. are all good options.

How do I connect to Facebook?

Click "My account" which appears at the top of every page, there you will see an option to connect with Facebook.

How do I make sure my review is posted on my Facebook Profile as well?

While writing a blog, event or business review, you have a check box available to "Publish Facebook story feed".

How do I decide who reads my Blogs?

When adding a blog, under the blog privacy field one can choose to make it public, private or for friends only.

Can I invite people to an event on yellO?

No you cannot invite people individually to an event. While setting the event privacy you can choose it to be public, private or for friends only.

How do I know that the business information provided on yellO.pk is accurate?

The content on yellO.pk is added by our users but moderated by us and randomly checked for accuracy. If you find some inaccuracy, please flag the entry or email us at info@yello.pk with updated details.

What is my Guest book?

Guest book is like a scrapbook where you can post messages for your friend.

How do I use the map to mark a location?

There are two ways to mark a location on the map while adding an event or business listing. You can either search the location using the “Search Location” tab or “Add a location”.

How do I add a location on the map?

First of all select the city you want to add a location to. Then zoom in on the map to get a clear picture of the city and choose the area. Once you are in the desired city and area, click to mark it.
